1. Advent is when we prepare for Christmas and Jesus' birthday.
2. The word Advent is a Latin word which means 'coming'.
3. The pink candle represents joy.
4. The purple candles represents hope, love and peace.
5. During Advent, Catholics light the four candles.

Do you know the connection between Jesus and Abraham?
We are learning to understand how Jesus is related to Abraham and Sarah.
I know I can do this when I draw the family tree of Abraham and Sarah's family and explain the connections that they have with Jesus.
Connections: Abraham married Sarah, Hagar and Keturah.
