I hope I can go to the bowling centre with my friends on my birthday!

On Saturday the 28th of May, my mum dropped me off at the bowling centre in Panmure for Akesa’s birthday in her silver car.

When I walked quickly inside to the party room, I saw Akesa, her mum and her cousins Soane, Baby Johnny, Patrick and Folau.

While we were waiting for our game of bowling to start, we played some arcade games. I played the basketball shooting game. I tried to shoot the round, orange balls into the hoop to gain points to earn tickets.

After that, we grabbed some bowling shoes so that we could bowl. I put on my shoes and walked to the bowling lane and we had two lanes to play in. Akesa and Folau went first and then it was my turn. I grabbed a light blue ball and I rolled the ball to try and hit the pins. I managed to hit six of them. We all had 10 turns each and then we played some more arcade games.

I played table hockey with Soane. The aim of the game was to try and hit the puck to score. The first one that gets up to 7, wins. It was really fun and Soane won.

Next I played deal or no deal and I earned 44 tickets. The aim of this game was to try and open the cases and try to get the lowest number possible. We had to get the lowest number because the higher the numbers were, the less tickets we earn.

Then I played another game of table hockey with Folau. We used our orange handles to hit the puck into the goals. I was the first one to get a goal but he won in the end.

After that, we fed all of our tickets through a big, purple machine and a receipt came out for us to claim our prizes.

Then, we walked back to the party room and ate some food. We all had a plate with a hot dog, chicken nuggets and chips with tomato sauce. We also had some drinks and I had a sprite. The food was delicious.

After we finished eating, Akesa’s mum gave us all lollie bag. It had some lollies in it, tickets and a little bouncy ball.  

Then we went to claim our prizes. I got three prizes, which were a soldier with a parachute, a yellow flute and a compass. I liked my prizes.

Next it was time to go home so I said, “Thank you” to Akesa’s mum and then my mum came to pick me up.

It was the best day ever because I got to go to my friend’s birthday celebration. I hope that we could go to the bowling centre again for my birthday with my friends.

Learning intention: We are learning to use descriptive language in our recount.

Success criteria: I know I can do this when I use adjectives and verbs to describe my weekend with my friends.

Do you have family meetings?

On Sunday the 17th of August I went to my nana's house for a family meeting. We drove there in my mum's big, grey car.

When I got there, I played cops and robber on my tablet with my cousin Summer. It was fun because Summer and I were in the same teams together and we were the cops. It was fun because we got to shoot the robbers and play with other people from other countries. Next we played five nights at freddys. It was terrifying because Freddy kept on popping up in our faces.

After that we ate some hot dogs and chicken. It was delcious because the hot dogs were cooked well and the chicken was flavorsome. After that we player Minecraft on two black and shiny computers. It was fun because we built a castle and had a building battle.

In Minecraft, we built Chica. Chica is an anamatronic in the game. She is a bird that is yellow and has black eyes. Next I had to go home. I said, "Bye" to everyone and hugged them. When I got home, I went to bed because I felt tired.

It was fun because I played minecraft with my cousin. I felt happy because I played cops and robbers with Summer. She is very fun to play with.

Guest where I went on the weekend?

On Monday the 1st of June, I went to the Warehouse in Sylvia Park with my ice and beautiful parents. We travelled in a small and silver car which was my dad's car.

When we got inside we looked around for the black school shoes. The shoe were at the end of the warehouse, it was right next to the adorable toys. It was a long walk from the main entrance. When we got to the shoes area I was so excited but felt exhausted. I picked a big black pair of school  shoes and I was excited to wear them to school on the following day.

After that we went to the socks area, and I chose pink, black, white and big, long socks. Then we looked for a school bag. I also bought a pink, blue, purple and dickies bag and a matching kitty lunch box with the same colors of blue and pink.

A  while later we went to pay for my school things. While we were walking I saw my teacher Miss. Chao and her dad. I said, "Hi" to my lovely and helpful teacher and she replied the same thing. When we got to the register the lady wearing a red t-shirt scanned my school things. The total cost $89.99 and my dad paid for it all. When we were done shopping, we went back to our small and silver car, and drove to the Chinese takeaway. We bought crispy and delicious pork and rice. I looked yummy and smelt so good.

Finally we went home and hungrily ate our food. While we were eating our delicious food, we watched T.V. It was so fun. It was the best day ever. I am super glad that I got to buy new things with my family. I wish that we can go back to the warehouse again soon.

YAY! I'm going bowling!

On Sunday the 17th of April, I went bowling for family night out. I walked with my two cousins Carlos and Brooklyn, I also walked with my nice uncle and auntie.

When we got there my uncle gave my cousins and I one token, but my auntie wearing a pink top said that she was going to give ten tokens after the 2 games of bowling. Then my other auntie said to me, "What is your super girl's name?" I said, "Black Widow."

After we chose our super girls and super boy names we played bowling. The first person was Celeste, her name was Thor girl. On her first roll she knocked out nine pins. Next was Bat girl (my cousin Summer), she shot six pins. After that it was my cousin Aprils turn, her name was Wonder Woman. Next it was me, Black Widow. Next it was Raven (Brooklyn). Then finally Groot (Carlos). We all had two games.

After our two games, my auntie gave us ten grey tokens. My first game was Whack the blue and dangerous shark, from that game I got thirty five red and white tickets my next game was the super spinning wheel, I played that game two times, I got forty red and white tickets from that game. Next I played 2 games of Deal or no deal. I got 105 from that game. After that I played a game of basket ball, I got twenty tickets.

When I finished playing my games, I bought two red whoppy cushions with my tickets, I also bought a pink whistle for my little cousin Maddy, I gave my other whoppy cushion for my cousin Celeste.

After that we had to go home, this time I went in a car. While we were driving home Celeste and I were playing with our red whoppy cushisions. It was loud but funny. When we got home we waited for my uncle to buy hot chips. When he arrived we ate the hot chips and went to bed.

It was a fun day because it was my first time going bowling. I wished that I had more grey tokens to play more fun games.

Have you ever been fishing?

On Saturday the 28th of March, I went fishing with my dad, mum and uncle. We went to Pt.England in my mum's van.

When we got there, my mum and I ate our food that we got from the bakery nearby. I had one piece of chicken and lots of chips. It was called a snack pack. It was delicious.

After that, I asked my mum if I could play in the sand and she said "Yes!" I tried to make a mermaid tail. Then, I saw my cousins running like a cheetah towards me.

When they came to me, we played on the sand. We found a lot of beautiful shells. After that, we asked our parents if we could go for a refreshing swim and they said, "Yes!"

When we first got into the water, it was cold but then we warmed up and we all felt hot. We played Mako Mermaids and we played until it got dark. We pretended that it was the full moon and that to of us lost our mermaid tails and only one of us cold survive.

Then we got changed. After we were dry, I got out my pink tablet and we played connect four. It was fun because we got to verse each other.

Finally we had to go home. I said good bye to my cousins and headed home. When we got home, I had a nice, long shower and then I went to bed. I said to my parents, "Good night" and that was another adventurous day gone. I had so much fun because I had time to bond with my family. I think that's what God wants us to do, to build relationships in our lives.

Have you been to Point England Reserve before for Kids' safety day?

On Saturday the 21st of February, I went to Point England Reserve for kid's safety day, my mum and I went super early so we can get a car park. We waited and waited and waited. After a while the activities started, but my mum and I were still waiting for my cousins. When I saw them coming, I was excited because we finally could go to the activities. There were water activities, Police activities, Ambulance activities and fire activities.

My cousins and I got passports for the 6 stamps. We went to every activity to collect the 6 stamps each. Then we all went in line to get a free hot dog in exchange for the 6 stamps collected. I saw my friends Rosary and Kayla. Rosary said "Can we push in" I said " Sure". I noticed that they were holding frisbee's from the activities and they got them for free. I felt proud and happy for them. 

When we finished eating Celeste and I went for a swim. When we first got in, the water was cold so we got out and played in the sand instead. We were getting dirty so we cleaned ourselves in the water and went to dry ourselves next to my mum who was under the tree eating an apple. Summer, my cousin and Celeste's mum went to the park to play on the swing. 

Celeste and I stayed behind and ate apples, then we went to see the police dogs. The colour of the police dogs was brown and black, They had sharp teeth and their names were Paula and Bear. They were awesome. Finally we had to go home.

I felt so happy that I participated in the kid's safety day because I learned how to be safe in the house, in the street, at school and everywhere I go. It was the best day ever.
