I love to make sculptures now!

On Thursday the 30th of June, we had our tenth art lesson in the afternoon with Siliga and Salome in Room 7. We carried on refining our insect and bird sculptures.

Image result for butterflyAfter I ate my healthy, small, red apple, I grabbed my sculpture and waited in line to glue my  wings back on my butterfly because they had fallen off.

After I glued my wings back on, Salome got the paint out for us to paint our insects and birds. I used blue paint because I wanted my wings to be blue. I grabbed a small, thin paint brush and dipped it into the blue paint. I took my time painting the wings so that they would be perfect.

Next, I walked outside to spray paint the body of my butterfly. I walked behind the brick wall which is next to the top court because that was where Salome was spray painting the insects. When I got to her, I asked her politely if she could spray paint it for me.

Then I walked quickly back to class and painted my wings again because some of the spray paint got on it.

After that, I placed my insect on an orange table and then I looked at my classmates' insects and birds. They all had great sculptures.

A few minutes later, I thought about how I could improve my insect. Then one of my classmates gave me the idea that I should add yellow stripes and I thought it was a good idea.

Next, we all had to tidy up the class because it was such a mess, so I picked up all the straws off the floor and put them into a container for us to use next time.

After a while, we finished cleaning up, then we said our prayers for the end of the day. After that, we all said thank you to Salome and Siliga for coming in and helping us with our sculptures.

It was the best day ever because we got to have art and because my insect is almost complete.
